NATURAL MEDICINE CERTIFICATION COUNCIL (NMCC)
AKA: EXAMINING BOARD OF NATURAL MEDICINE PRACTITIONERS-NORTH AMERICA
BNMDP-NA is a non-profit organization established in 1998 as the Examining Board of Natural Medicine Practitioners-North America(EBNMP-NA) as per World Health Organization Alma Ata 1962 accord, and is accredited and affiliated with the World Organization of Natural Medicine WONM-Registry by authority of its Registrar, accredited by the American Naturopathic Association (ANA) and acknowledged by the American Naturopathic Medical Association (ANMA). It serves as a Registry for Traditional (Nature’s)Natural Medicine Doctors and Practitioners in North America and Its sub- boards are responsible for the administration of clinical competency examinations for certification.
BNMDP-NA has a non-discriminatory policy, with membership open to individuals with Doctor of Naturopathy (N.D.) or Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (N.M.D.), as well as other health care fields. Some of our members hold other medical degrees: M.D., D.O., D.D.S., O.M.D., H.M.D., and D.C. All of our members have a strong commitment to the philosophy, art and science, of natural medicine. It subscribes to the high integrity, ethical practice, and the advancement of the profession of Natural Medicine in North America, and seeks to collaborate and partnership with other organizations with similar mandate.
NOTE: CERTIFICATION UNDER BNMDP-NA & NMCC IS NOT AN ACADEMIC DEGREE. POTENTIAL REGISTRANT MUST PROVIDE SUPPORTING EVIDENCE OF A DOCTORAL OR EQUIVALENT LEVEL OF EDUCATION AND BE SUCCESSSFUL IN NATURAL MEDICINE COMPETENCY EXAMINATIONS TO BE REGISTERED.
Mission:
- Provide a certification process that promotes high standards of ethics and competence among Natural Medicine Doctors and Practitioners
- Aid in maintaining these standards through required continuing education; and
- Assure that certified Natural Medicine Doctors and Professionals meet specific standards of education and experience and are committed to a high level of ethical practice.
- Propagation of traditional Nature’s medicine health care by helping to establish North American associations
